	About Avsure... Hello, I’m Bill Beard at Avsure. Having been involved in aviation insurance for 25 years, plus 20 years in aircraft sales and marketing, both here in New Zealand and overseas, I am thus able to offer my clients the benefit of viewing their aviation requirements from (you may say) both sides of the fence.
	I have built up a comprehensive knowledge on just about every aspect of the aviation industry and still fly regularly. With a few thousand hours on some 30 plus different aircraft types (including a little kerosene time) gives me the insight and knowledge to advise and guide clients as to their insurance requirements. In November 1997, Avsure joined forces with Boston Marks Insurance Brokers Ltd (BMIB), a long time recognised specialist aviation insurance broker in New Zealand. Combined, BMIB and Avsure are industry leaders both in terms of clients and premium volume. Our portfolio of helicopter and fixed wing policy holders is the largest in the industry and our clients benefit from the volume of business we handle. Avsure’s office is situated in the Auckland Aero Club facilities on Harvard Lane, Ardmore Airport, right opposite the Ardmore Airport Company offices. We were (and still are) the first insurance broker to be domiciled on an airport in New Zealand. It’s a popular concept in the USA and Australia but a first for New Zealand.
